Pilot Officer Laurance Arthur SMITH (114060), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, No. 610 Squadron.
Pilot Officer Smith has taken part in many attacks against targets in enemy occupied territory and in shipping reconnaissances. He accomplished very good work during the combined operations at Dieppe on the igth August, 1942.
This officer has always shown the greatest eagerness to engage the enemy and has destroyed 2 hostile aircraft. Throughout Pilot Officer Smith has displayed great devotion to  duty.
