Flight Lieutenant Alan Francis PAVEY (119252), R.A.F.V.R., 122 Sqn.
This officer has led his flight with great distinction in very many sorties during which such targets as railway junctions, bridges, mechanical transport and other targets on the ground have been attacked with destructive results. By his gallant, resolute and skilful leadership, Flight Lieutenant Pavey has played a prominent part in the successes obtained. In air fighting he ‘has destroyed 3 enemy aircraft.
