Acting Flight Lieutenant • Denys Henson Hugh GATHERCOLE (88873), Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, No. 245 Squadron.
This officer has completed numerous sorties against the enemy both by day and night. During the recent combined operations, he led his flight in attacks on the beaches at Dieppe. Flight Lieutenant Gathercole is a leader of distinction and has rendered much valuable service.
